My summer herb garden is out of control, friends. I water it on the daily and pick a few things about once a week to either toss into salads or experiment with in other meals I'm creating. While my herbs are doing wonderful, the kale and romaine have seen better days.
You see, I live in an apartment and planted several plants in small balcony planters. Initially, I thought "the more the merrier!" but after harvesting a TON of romaine and kale this past week only to have it taste too bitter for even ME to enjoy, I think I overdid things at the beginning that didn't allow the greens to grow to their full potential. Better luck next time...
